RG Consultancy are delighted to be working with an excellent, well-established legal firm based in Preston who are looking to add an experienced Finance Manager to their team to lead the accounts function. Overseeing a small team, this Finance Manager role would be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions and ensuring the business is operating within the SRA accounting rules. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function including: Leading a small team of legal cashiers providing guidance and support as needed Daily bank reconciliations Ledger management Liaising with fee earners regarding completion monies and disbursements Cashflow management and forecasting Monthly management reporting for the Board of Directors Preparation of annual budgets Management of yearend process and liaising with external auditors Leading on annual SRA audit process Continual development of process and procedures This role would only be suitable for someone with complete knowledge of the SRA accounts rules and has experience of working within a legal environment in a leadership role.
