Electrical Estimator Location: kent (Head Office) / Project Sites Salary: Up to £65,000 package Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time Working Pattern: Hybrid working available (typically 3 days per week in the office) Start Date: ASAP Role Overview A well-established UK main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its growing M&E division. The role will involve pricing a wide range of electrical packages across CAT A, CAT B, refurbishment and new build projects, working across both public and private sector schemes throughout the UK. Typical project values range up to £4 million, offering strong variety and technical exposure. Key Responsibilities Producing detailed and accurate electrical estimates for multiple tender processes Pricing projects across CAT A, CAT B, refurbishment and new build schemes Preparing take-offs, BOQs and cost plans using relevant estimating software Ensuring all tenders are technically compliant and commercially accurate Issuing tender packages to subcontractors and reviewing returned quotations Liaising with commercial, pre-construction and delivery teams throughout the tender process Attending site surveys, site meetings and internal handovers as required Supporting live projects where needed to ensure continuity and accuracy Promoting a strong health & safety culture across all estimating activities Team & Reporting Reporting directly to the Head of Estimating Working closely alongside a Senior Electrical Estimator Part of a collaborative and well-structured M&E estimating team Sector Exposure Projects are delivered across a broad range of sectors, including: Healthcare Defence Government Education Leisure Residential Requirements Industry-recognised qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Strong knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Previous experience in an Electrical Estimator role within building services or construction Experience pricing electrical packages on commercial projects Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness Good understanding of current industry regulations and legislation Ability to interpret technical drawings and contract documentation Confident communicator, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders What's on Offer Salary package up to £65,000 Hybrid working arrangement Long-term career development within a growing contractor Exposure to varied, technically interesting projects Supportive and professional working environment
