SEN Learning Support Assistant – Torbay
Location: Torbay and surrounding areas
Pay: £90–£95 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, school hours (term time only)

Are you an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant looking for your next rewarding role in Torbay?
Teaching Personnel are working closely with several specialist and mainstream schools across the area, supporting students with a wide range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and communication difficulties.
We’re looking for passionate, patient, and adaptable individuals who can make a genuine difference in the classroom.
The Role:
Support children with special educational needs (SEN) on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
Help students access the curriculum through tailored support strategies.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies.
Implement EHCPs and behaviour support plans effectively.
Encourage emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction.
Requirements:
Experience supporting students with SEN (school-based or care environment).
Understanding of trauma-informed and positive behaviour approaches.
Excellent communication and empathy skills.
A calm, resilient, and caring approach to support every learner’s individual journey.
Commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for all students.
