Job Title: Weekend Lecturer in Business
Company: Regent College London
Salary: Up to £27,000 pro rata per annum (for 24 hours/week, 0.6 FTE), with a full-time equivalent up to £45,000 per annum
Reports to: Faculty Manager
Hours of work: 24 hours/week, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 9 am - 6 pm), plus one additional day for marking
Location: Flexible across Wembley and Kingsbury campuses
Start date: 11th August 2025 or 1st September 2025, subject to interview

Overall purpose
The role of Lecturer in the School involves designing, developing, and delivering learning and teaching materials across modules or within a subject area. The role is hybrid (face-to-face or online) and aims to ensure student engagement, achievement of learning outcomes, and a high-quality student experience. The lecturer may also support students across a programme in their learning journey.
Specific duties and responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
* Teach scheduled sessions, including lectures, seminars, tutorials
* Maintain attendance registers and work with the attendance team to ensure accuracy
* Deliver sessions aligned with programme and module specifications
* Work in line with Regent Digital provisions including VLEs and MS Teams
* Ensure student engagement during sessions
* Develop teaching materials for modules
* Suggest improvements to enhance student academic experience
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop module content and structure
Assessment and Marking
* Set assessments and ensure 90%+ submission rates
* Support assessment production and approval processes
* Participate in standardisation and moderation meetings
* Provide formative and timely summative feedback
* Identify and escalate cases of academic misconduct
Student Support
* Address issues of engagement or performance
* Signpost students to college services as needed
* Monitor progress of students’ Learning Support Plans
Quality Assurance
* Provide module evaluation reports
* Contribute to programme evaluations
* Engage in programme committee meetings for continuous improvement
* Reflect on student feedback to identify areas for improvement
* Support accreditation and quality control processes
Scholarship
* Engage in scholarship activities to support teaching and update knowledge
* Apply scholarship to teaching and external activities
* Support the School’s Scholarship Plan
Managing People and Resources
* Coordinate with support staff and colleagues as module leader
* Manage projects related to own work and external activities
* Coordinate work of others to ensure module standards
* Design and deliver modules and assessments
* Support student recruitment and marketing activities
* Address delivery issues within scope, escalating serious matters appropriately
