The Assistant Merchandiser role is an exciting opportunity to be part of this journey with the Merchandising team at our Milton Park offices.
Reporting to the Merchandiser you will support the team in maximising sales through effective management of stock. You’ll focus on forecasting, stock holding and trading reporting. Responsibilities
* Assists the merchandising team with providing accurate trade reports and relevant analysis to maximise profit throughout all channels.
* Develop a strong working relationship with suppliers, providing forecasts and managing delivery requirements.
* Analyse store and web stock levels to ensure availability is optimised across the business. Highlighting opportunities and potential risk for all channels.
* Attend store visits to enhance the stock availability and trade of the store.
* Managing intake based on robust demand plans to ensure strong stock availability for B2B channels.
* Maintenance of supplier order books and store requests inbox.
* Working cross functionally with the Web team on OOS, new SKU launches and SKU maintenance on the web.
* Provide seasonal analysis for all channel types to aid range reviews.
* Monitor the performance of slow selling and stock with less than 6 months shelf life, proposing action to both the Commercial Planning and Buying teams.
About You
* Experience in Merchandising, as an Assistant Merchandiser or a Merch Admin Assistant looking to progress.
* Highly numerate with strong commercial focus and intermediate level Excel Skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, across multiple channels and suppliers.
* Good at time management with the ability to manage own workload.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written as you will be working with a range of colleagues and prospective employees at all levels
* Team player, with the desire to support across all levels.
