Associate Director - Compliance Advisory
Job Summary
Support the Head of Futures, Commodities & CFI Compliance Advisory Europe within the Capital Markets compliance team for RBCCM Europe, focusing on global markets front office advisory activities related to RBCEL, RBCEG, and RBC London Branch.
What will you do?
* Advise on current and future legislation affecting European business conduct;
* Issue guidance to front office regarding FCA and other regulatory requirements;
* Conduct annual risk assessments for UK spreads and macro businesses;
* Identify control gaps, raise issues, and work with 1LOD to remediate;
* Design and maintain policies addressing regulatory risks;
* Deliver compliance training to relevant business areas;
* Collaborate with Trade Surveillance to enhance programs;
* Review and advise on compliance aspects of new business proposals;
* Assist with desk monitoring for FCA rules adherence;
* Support compliance colleagues internationally on UK regulatory matters;
* Conduct and report compliance investigations;
* Assist team members and undertake ad-hoc assignments.
What do you need to succeed?
* Experience in product advisory compliance;
* Knowledge of UK and European financial legislation, especially Futures, Commodities, and CFI;
* Familiarity with FCA Handbook and Conduct of Business Rules;
* Understanding of Futures products and exchange requirements;
* Strong stakeholder management skills;
* Adaptability in a dynamic environment;
* Ability to draft clear regulatory guidance and policies;
* Ability to develop compliance monitoring programs;
* Excellent communication of regulatory issues;
* Confidentiality skills.
