Overview
We are looking for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Void team based in Stoke. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs to void properties, ranging from a leaking tap to changing baths, or hanging a new door. Ideally with Plumbing as your core trade. The team also carries out external repairs including fencing and groundworks. The role will include lone and team working, and you will also be required to be on an emergency call out rota. A company van and power tools will be provided for business use along with training as and when needed.
Responsibilities
* Attending void properties to carry out construction, diagnosing problems, fault fixing and maintenance duties required within a Social Housing environment
* Taking ownership and resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
* Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
* Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
* Providing out of hours cover via a rota
Qualifications and Requirements
* To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical)
* If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS)
* As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
* Recent experience of undertaking a similar role within the social housing sector
* Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
* Additional skills in some of the following disciplines - joinery and plastering
* Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements
* This role will involve driving on company business; a full valid UK driving licence is required

* £34,376 per annum (rising to £36,185 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
