Job Purpose
The P.E will support the Electrical Project team by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to progress ongoing package delivery as well as taking ownership of new small packages of work from procurement through to delivery. This includes coordination of design and delivery schedules, liaising with manufacturers to progress detailed design and equipment delivery, and working with subcontractors to prepare for equipment delivery and installation.
Key Activities
* Liaise with Design Engineering technical team
o Undertake technical evaluation
o Ensure correct specifications, quantities and materials
o Manage TQs
o Instruct on any change requests
o Document review & approval
* Liaise with Vendors
o Ensure information transfer is according to schedule
o Undertake weekly/monthly reviews of vendors scope
o Manage TQs, clarifications, change requests
o Document review & approval
o Undertake QAQC reviews
* Liaise with Construction Project Team
o Work closely with clients’ contractors to ensure project specifications are met and maintain effective communication throughout the project
o Ensure vendor information is available
o Provide review of TQ’s
o Provide regular reporting on package progress
o Raise risks for action where necessary
o Manage delivery per project requirements
Requirements
* Relevant delivery experience in a project setting
* Experience in Industrial Design and Construction
* Able to read and understand electrical documentation including schematic diagrams, SLDs and load schedules
* Aware of typical electrical infrastructure
* Experience of working to UK standards and regulations
* HNC qualified as a minimum
Desirable
* Experience working in dispersed international teams
* UK site construction experience
