We're looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Foreman to join our dynamic Plant & Tool division. If you're passionate about machinery, thrive on team leadership, and want to be part of a business that's growing fast—this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
What You'll Be Doing
•Overseeing the day-to-day running of the depot workshop and ensuring plant equipment is consistently available for hire
•Allocating and monitoring workloads across the fitter team to maximise productivity and meet performance targets
•Leading by example to maintain high standards of safety, service, and equipment care
•Implementing planned maintenance programmes to reduce downtime and repair costs
•Ensuring accurate records of servicing, repairs, and appliance testing are maintained and compliant with legislation
•Managing workshop cleanliness, vehicle maintenance schedules, and off-hire inspections
•Coaching and developing workshop staff, identifying training needs,
About You
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise and leadership skills, including:
•Ideally experience in a senior plant mechanic/fitter role, with a relevant qualification or time-served background
•Solid, up-to-date knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance
•A keen eye for detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure
•Strong team management skills in a fast-paced workshop environment
•A full, valid driving licence
