Description
Sue Ross Recruitment are seeking an experienced and discreet Personal Assistant / Senior Administrator to manage the smooth running of a large private property and supporting all aspects of a private individual’s business and personal affairs. This is a senior administrative role requiring maturity, initiative and absolute trustworthiness.
You will oversee all day-to-day operations of a small estate office and act as the key point of contact for both household and business matters. The role is varied, interesting, and will suit someone who thrives on responsibility and variety in a private home environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Private PA / Senior Admin role:
1. General administration, typing, and filing
2. Diary and budget management
3. Email and IT management
4. Processing payroll (via external accountants)
5. Bill paying, banking, and purchase control
6. Budget management and expenditure of up to £150k
7. Management of household and maintenance staff
8. Travel bookings and arrangements
9. Liaison with contractors, service providers, and legal advisers
10. Handling confidential correspondence and personal matters
Candidate Requirements for the Private PA / Senior Admin role:
11. Applicants must have extensive senior PA experience, be able to work unsupervised, be able to show initiative and have first class communication skills.
12. Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
13. Confident in managing budgets and financial matters
14. Able to manage and coordinate staff
15. Strong typing skills and proficiency with IT systems
16. Discreet, reliable, and trustworthy, with the ability to work independently
17. Comfortable working in a private home environment and managing high-value assets
Additional Information:
18. This is primarily an office-based role within the estate grounds, in a beautiful setting with gardens, swimming pool, and tennis courts
19. You will work closely with a private individual, who travels frequently and is away for up to 20 weeks per year.
