Job Summary
To weld a range of pipe configurations while applying various methods to produce high quality welds.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00 (44 hours).
Rate: Competitive rates - Dependent on experience with OT available at 1.5
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate and weld pipe sets for various diameters, typically carbon steel and stainless steel (65mm - 500mm).
* Read and understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
* Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard.
* Complete Cross Training in various welding activities.
* Ensure Company H&S Processes followed.
* Use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment.
* General workshop duties.
Requirements
* Essential: Experience working as a fabricator welder in Pipe Fabrication and Welding.
* The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
* Able to use Shop floor hand tools.
* Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings.
Desirable
* Heavy or structural Fabrication experience
* Experience fabricating a wide range of pipe arrangements with TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.
