Thales supports the security and stability of our nation by providing extraordinary technology to our customers, as well as delivering social value to the UK with our products and services.**Industrial Process Engineer – Supply Chain**At Thales, we’re shaping the future of technology to build a safer, more connected world—and we’re looking for an **Industrial Process Engineer** to join us on that journey.If you enjoy partnering with people, improving processes, and making a real impact across complex supply chains, this could be the role for you.**What you’ll be doing**You’ll work closely with our suppliers and internal teams to drive excellence in mechanical manufacturing and product delivery:* Build trusted partnerships with suppliers to deliver high-quality, reliable components* Collaborate to **optimise manufacturing processes and reduce costs*** Provide technical input during supplier selection, audits, and readiness reviews* Lead supplier audits, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement* Support **First Article Inspections (FAI)** and validate new production processes* Analyse process data to improve quality, yield, and performance* Drive **APQP and PPAP** activities to ensure smooth new product introduction* Partner cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined* Support supplier manufacturing readiness and continuous improvement initiatives**What you’ll bring**We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a collaborative mindset:* Experience in **mechanical manufacturing processes** (machining, casting, forging, etc.)* Background working with suppliers in a manufacturing environment* Knowledge of **Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, and PPAP*** Strong communication skills and a relationship-focused approach* A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement* Ability to travel to supplier sites**Your background*** Degree in **Mechanical, Manufacturing, Product Design or similar**, *or* equivalent industry experience**Why Thales?**At Thales, your work matters.
