Mechanical Project Manager (Building Services / M&E)Yorkshire / UK Projects | Full-Time | PermanentWe are currently partnering with a long-established building services and mechanical engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support the delivery of major commercial and industrial projects across the UK.This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected contractor delivering complex mechanical, HVAC, and M&E installations across sectors including commercial, healthcare, hospitality, residential, and industrial environments.The CompanyOur client is a well-established building services business with decades of experience delivering:Mechanical building servicesHVAC installationsPipework and plumbing systemsBIM and coordinated M&E solutionsEnergy-efficient building systemsOperating nationwide, they work alongside leading contractors and major end users to deliver technically complex projects safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.With continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to strengthen their project delivery team.The RoleAs Mechanical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.You will manage multiple stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal delivery teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and safety standards.Key responsibilities include:Managing mechanical and HVAC projects from award through to completionCoordinating labour, subcontractors, materials, and programme deliveryManaging project budgets, valuations, and cost controlAttending client and site meetings as the lead mechanical representativeEnsuring compliance with health & safety and quality standardsOverseeing commissioning and final project handoversWorking closely with BIM, design, and commercial teamsMonitoring project progress and reporting to senior managementSupporting procurement and subcontractor managementResolving technical and operational challenges throughout the project lifecycleThe CandidateWe are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in building services or M&E contracting .Essential:Proven experience delivering mechanical building services projectsStrong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systemsExperience managing commercial or industrial projectsStrong commercial awareness and budget management capabilityExcellent organisational and stakeholder management skillsKnowledge of health & safety regulations and site complianceFull UK driving licenceDesirable:Background working for an M&E contractor or building services specialistExperience with BIM-coordinated projectsMechanical or Building Services qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)SMSTS or equivalent site management certificationThe PackageSalary £60,000 - £70,000 DOEYearly bonusCar allowance or company vehicle8% Pension scheme25 days holidayOngoing training and developmentLong-term career progression within a growing contractorExposure to high-profile and technically complex projectsCareer ProgressionThis role offers genuine long-term progression within a growing and well-established organisation.Successful candidates will have opportunities to progress into:Senior Project ManagementContracts ManagementOperations or Regional Management rolesAs the company continues to expand its project portfolio, there is strong opportunity for ambitious individuals to grow alongside the business.Why Apply?This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong reputation for technical delivery and long-standing client relationships, working on diverse projects across multiple sectors within the UK building services marketWR HVAC | M&E are #1 recruitment partner for HVAC jobs.
