Financial Planning Assistant
An established and growing professional services firm is seeking a Financial Planning Assistant to join its Financial Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and client-focused individual looking to build a career within financial planning and financial services.
The role offers exposure to a wide range of administrative and client-facing responsibilities, supporting Financial Planning Consultants and acting as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
The Role
As a Financial Planning Assistant, you will provide first-line administrative and client support to Financial Planning Consultants, ensuring a smooth and efficient client experience.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and providing relevant documentation to Financial Planning Consultants ahead of client meetings.
2. Acting as a main point of contact for clients and responding promptly to queries.
3. Liaising with life offices and product providers.
4. Maintaining accurate client records on financial planning systems (e.g. Xplan).
5. Ensuring compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
6. Supporting the administrative elements of the client review process.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
7. Experience in an administrative or customer service role, ideally within financial services (desirable but not essential).
8. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage diaries and schedule appointments effectively.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to client service.
10. The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
11. A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to support colleagues.
12. Good general IT skills and attention to detail.
13. The ambition to study towards professional qualifications, with full support provided.
14. A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
