Depot Assistant – Fleet Rental / Truck & Trailer Operations

Join a dynamic and growing team at the heart of the fleet rental and truck & trailer industry. We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on Depot Assistant to help keep our depot running smoothly and efficiently.
This is a varied role that combines logistics, administration, and customer service—perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has a passion for keeping things organised and on the move.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Logistics & Fleet Support
* Prepare trucks, trailers, and equipment for hire—including cleaning and basic maintenance
* Manage and organise incoming/outgoing stock, ensuring accurate logging and dispatch
* Assist in the movement and inspection of fleet vehicles
Depot & Admin Tasks
Maintain accurate inventory and complete service reports
Support back-office operations and key account management
Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and filed appropriately
Customer Service
* Provide excellent service to customers both face-to-face and over the phone
* Assist with customer collections and drop-offs, ensuring smooth service at all times
* Help build and maintain positive customer relationships
Health & Safety
* Keep the depot clean, tidy, and compliant with safety regulations
* Report hazards or incidents and ensure best practice in depot safety
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a depot, warehouse, or fleet environment is a plus
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
* Good communication and teamworking abilities
* Comfortable with manual handling and working in a fast-paced setting
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures
