Position
Manufacturing Engineer - NPI (Full Lifecycle) at Safran Actuation Systems UK (Wolverhampton site).
Responsibilities
* Lead the manufacturing planning and implementation of new products and associated production facilities and processes throughout the NPI project/programme lifecycle.
* Act as a key interface across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations, and a key member of the Integrated Project Team (IPT).
* Apply Systems Engineering V‑model principles to define manufacturing system requirements and influence product design through DFx, Lean Manufacturing and APQP.
* Own the design, development and validation of manufacturing processes, including PFMEA, control plans, process simulation and verification, pilot build validation, and production readiness reviews.
What You'll Bring - Essential
* Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
* Strong experience in NPI and full product lifecycle industrialisation.
* Proven track record of successfully introducing new products and processes into production.
* Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, DFx and other best practices.
* Strong understanding of machining, assembly and test processes, including the latest technology roadmaps.
* Ability to influence design and work cross‑functionally with multiple stakeholders.
* Understanding of Systems engineering/V‑model principles, including requirements management, process verification and validation.
Desirable
* Experience in aerospace, automotive or high‑precision industries.
* Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9145 standards.
* Knowledge of SPC/process capability (Cpk) and metrology systems & technologies.
* Relevant experience of project management and risk mitigation planning.
