Are you passionate about shaping the brightest futures? As a minimal Level 3 trained Early Years Practitioner, you are more than just a caregiver—you are a specialist in the social and educational development of children during their most formative years. We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team, helping us create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where our children thrive.


Your Impact

In this 16 hour per week role (potentially changing to 29.5 hours per week), you will play a crucial part in the day-to-day life of our setting. You will work in close collaboration with the EYFS Lead and Headteacher to deliver high-quality learning opportunities and ensure every child’s well-being is at the heart of everything we do.


Key Responsibilities

* Creating an Enabling Environment: Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, and social care. Plan and lead creative, safe, and enjoyable activities in line with EYFS standards. Organise indoor and outdoor learning spaces, including creating engaging wall displays. Foster independent learning and encourage positive behaviour and self-discipline.
* Child Development & Observation: Work with individuals or small groups to develop physical, intellectual, and social skills. Make accurate observations, track interests, and determine “next steps” for your key children. Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), liaising with the SENDCO and external professionals when required.
* Safety & Well-being: Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and health and safety at all times. Act as a vigilant advocate for child protection, reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Assist with daily care routines, including meal times, hygiene, and administering first aid (where trained).
* Partnership & Collaboration: Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers to keep them involved in their child’s progress. Work as a proactive member of the staff team, attending meetings and contributing to a supportive work culture.


About You

* Have a deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Be a team player who is happy to assist with everything from reading stories to domestic duties and snack prep.
* Possess excellent communication skills for liaising with parents and colleagues.
* Be committed to continuous professional development and attending relevant training.
