What will you do?
As Warehouse Operations Manager, you'll lead daily operations of a high-performing warehouse facility with up to 40 colleagues across 2 shifts, encompassing manual processes and automated systems. Your focus: secure service levels, optimise resources, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Lead all warehouse activities (manual and automated) to ensure operational excellence.
* Oversee staffing, capacity planning, performance, and safety standards.
* Drive continuous improvement through Lean practices and the Volvo Production System (VPS).
* Support digitalisation and automation initiatives that improve throughput and service.
* Monitor KPIs and implement strategic actions to meet delivery and productivity goals.
* Foster a culture of safety, development, and accountability.
* Engage cross-functional teams to align operations with broader logistics goals.
* Coach and develop team members to promote long-term growth.
Who are we looking for?
At Volvo Group, we’re searching for a proven leader passionate about logistics, ready to manage both traditional warehousing operations and cutting-edge automation.
You will have:
* Strong experience managing both traditional warehouse operations and automated warehousing systems.
* Proven leadership in logistics or distribution centre environments.
* Understanding of lean principles, resource planning, and performance tracking.
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation technology.
* Strong people leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
* Passion for continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
