An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Capital, Estates & Facilities Department at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board as a Multi Disciplined Team Leader (Mechanical).
The Estates Department currently has a position to work alongside and support the Estates Operational Teams in the day-to-day operational maintenance of the UHB Estate.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic construction engineering individual to support the continual service provision of one of the largest health boards in Wales.
The department is going through an exciting time of service improvement to increase support and enhance the patient experience, ensuring the department is fit for the future.
Responsibilities
* Ensure we excel in providing a safe, organised and highly efficient service.
* Innovate in thinking and have the ability to make decisions independently.
* Develop and support service improvements, ensuring we are fit for the future.
* Manage staff and monitor day-to-day maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications to engineering services and plant.
* Manage planned and reactive works ensuring work is conducted to high quality, within cost and time constraints, and safely.
* Provide technical advice, prepare written reports, and undertake Authorised Person duties.
* Manage third‑party contracts and implement backlog maintenance and capital schemes.
Requirements
* The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.
