Position: Research Scientist- Bioanalysis LC-MS

About the role:
We have a new opportunity for a Bioanalysis LC-MS specialist at the Rushden site.
In this role you will be responsible for developing LC-MS methods for the quantitative measurement of small and large molecules within regulated Bioanalysis.
Our Rushden site is a centre of excellence for Radiolabelled Sciences incorporating both Metabolism (which includes Clinical Metabolism, Pre-clinical ADME, In vitro and DDI services, Large Molecule Metabolism, Environmental Fate, Plant Metabolism and Metabolite Identification) in addition to Chemistry (which includes API and IMP manufacture). Key Roles and Responsibilities:
4. Perform established analytical procedures using LC-MS
5. Support other members of staff in their work as appropriate or as directed by Management.
6. Prepare samples for analysis.
7. Assist in the development of new analytical procedures/study types.
8. Perform more complex experimental techniques e.g., instrument set-up and maintenance, method development, as required with necessary guidance.
9. Ensure work is conducted, documented, and reported in line with department practices and governing policies, and with client requirements where appropriate.
Essential Requirements:
10. BSc (Hons) or higher in Chemistry or related subject.
11. 1–2-year experience of working in an analytical, biochemistry or similar laboratory.
12. Experience of quantitative triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (Sciex triple quadrupole platforms) paired with liquid chromatography (e.g., Agilent systems).
13. Experience in the development of sample extraction and work-up methods. Experience of automation platforms (e.g., Hamilton, Tecan) advantageous.
14. Experience in the use of relevant software e.g., Analyst, Watson, WinNonLin.
15. Awareness of the regulated bioanalysis guidelines.
16. Understanding of the drug development process.
17. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
