Aligned with our continued growth, we’re looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager to join our growing team and take responsibility for Health and Safety at Saltus. Reporting to our Chief People Officer, you will lead the development, implementation and continual improvement of our Health and Safety management framework across our 15+ office locations within the UK. Saltus is a privately owned financial planning and discretionary investment management house. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality service for private clients, trusts, and smaller institutions.
Saltus Partners was founded in 2004 and has grown organically and through a small number of carefully integrated acquisitions. Originally the business started out as an investment manager and has now developed the financial planning side of the offering, putting this at the forefront of the client relationship.

What does this role look like?
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll be responsible for:
* Developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive Health and Safety Management system which supports our multi-site office environment
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation
* Liaising with our third party H&S supplier and transferring knowledge and information as required
* Conducting and coordinating risk assessments, site inspections and audits across all office locations, ensuring consistent standards are achieved
* Leading on incident and near miss investigations, ensuring appropriate reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
* Drafting and updating policies and procedures and ensuring these are communicated to staff
* Facilities management, to include liaising with our group of Office Coordinators and supporting them with remedial actions needed on site
* Overseeing our building safety, fire safety and emergency procedures and ensuring these are robust and up to date
* Developing and delivering Health and Safety training and communications to staff and managers across the business
* Consulting with staff on all Health and Safety matters
* Acting as the key liaison with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and other relevant regulatory bodies as required
* Producing management information to include in the quarterly Board reports
* Championing a proactive health and safety culture across the organisation
What experience and skills will I need?
To be successful in this role, you will have or be able to demonstrate the following:
* NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
* Membership of IOSH (GradIOSH/CMIOSH preferred)
* First Aid at Work and Fire Safety training desirable
* Significant experience in managing Health and Safety across multiple sites
* Experience of facilities management would be advantageous
* In depth understanding of UK Health and Safety legislations, standards and best practice
* Outstanding communication skills
* An ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
* Experience in developing and delivering Health and Safety training and awareness programmes
* Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies
* Confident decision-making skills
* Collaborative, proactive and adaptable approach
* Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
You should also have a full, clean driving licence, and your own vehicle.
Where will I be working?
You will split your time between working from home, and working across our office locations. There will be a considerable amount of travel required within this role, on a regular basis, within the UK.

What benefits do I get when working for Saltus?
The salary is between £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, alongside 28 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), life assurance, income protection, private medical insurance and a pension, alongside access to our flexible benefits platform. The full time working hours are 40 hours per week, but we are also open to applications from candidates who would like to work part time.
