Planning Manager
Telford, Shropshire.
FMCG Manufacturing business.
£45,000 - £48,000 + 33 Days Holiday + Pension + Healthcare.
Monday – Friday – 8:30am – 5:00pm (37.5 hour per week).
As a result of consistent orders and demand for their products, a long established, globally recognised, multi-site FMCG manufacturing company has a requirement for a Planning Manager to join their Supply Chain team.
This in an exciting opportunity for a skilled Planning Manager to play a key role in ensuring the availability of product inventories while minimizing logistic and storage costs. Alongside the team, this role involves the planning of the production site operation and provision of uninterrupted supply of materials and components.
Role Description.
* Manage the sales and operations planning process to ensure local needs are met.
* Provide clear communication of current stock position, service levels, impacts and action plans.
* Manage, control and ensure customer service levels are in line with targets by managing stock levels and providing shipments to customers within the contractual timescales.
* Monitor, record the demand plan forecast accuracy, amplification and error rate within fixed plan horizons.
* Ensure the production, monitoring and issuing of Fixed Production Plans.
* Liaison across multiple departments to ensure a comprehensive supply chain plan, guaranteeing future stock requirements.
* Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager.
Skills and Qualifications.
* Experience of leading a Planning Team or Senior Planning experience.
* Background within a fast-paced manufacturing industry.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with strong analytical skills.
* Ability to interface effectively, both internally and with external suppliers.
