An exciting and new opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic registered mental health nurse to join our Prison Healthcare Service in NHS Forth Valley.
The applicant will demonstrate a sound knowledge and experience of delivering high quality person–centred care whilst working in a complex multi-disciplinary setting. The ability to co-ordinate the mental health team in a multi-disciplinary manner whilst responding to dynamic situations with competing demands is essential. Applicants must be able to provide evidence of excellent people management and leadership skills in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing practice in line with local and national policy.
Applicants will be a first level registered mental health nurse that can provide evidence of ongoing personal development.
You will be expected to work Monday to Friday 0800-1600hrs and an on call weekend 0800-1800hrs every 7th weekend, but with occasional flexibility expected in line with service needs.
This post is based within HMP Glenochil but is subject to rotation.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
