We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with various tasks related to patient care and medication administration. Duties
* Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
* Process prescriptions and manage medication orders efficiently.
* Provide information regarding medications, including usage, side effects, and storage.
* Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and transactions.
* Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and checking expiry dates.
* Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the counter area.
* Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash register.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of patient care principles and medication administration processes.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Proficient in using computer systems for record keeping and order processing.
* A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
* Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
