Job Description
The Professional Services Team is looking for an initiative-taking and committed Solution Consultant to understand, define, and implement customer requirements for Basware software solutions and services.
In this techno-functional role, you’ll work as part of an international project team, directly responsible for delivering system integrations, configuring the Basware application suite, extending product functionality, and managing other technical configurations. You’ll be part of an exciting, high-performing delivery team, focused on achieving genuine success for our clients.
As a Solution Consultant your responsibilities will include:
1. Clearly articulate the benefits of Basware AP Assurance to stakeholders at all levels, including IT/Admin staff, managers, and C-level executives.
2. Drive go-to-market (GTM) initiatives for AP Assurance by creating proof of value (PoVs) and industry-relevant content to support revenue growth.
3. Process and analyse client data as part of the PoV phase, helping demonstrate the platform’s capabilities and tailoring the solution to client-specific needs.
4. Review and improve existing data processing packages, identifying opportunities to make them more efficient and aligned with platform requirements.
5. Provide technical support to Sales, Account Managers, and Customer Support, assisting in up-sell/cross-sell opportunities and customer retention efforts.
6. When required, deliver compelling demos, PoV sessions, and solution designs tailored to client pain points and industry-specific challenges.
7. Lead client onboarding and implementation activities, including configuration workshops, ensuring smooth early-stage adoption and creative use of current platform capabilities.
8. Represent Basware as a subject matter expert in client meetings, industry events, and external partner engagements.
Skills & Requirements
To thrive and succeed in this role, we are expecting someone who possesses:
9. BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
10. A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar Solution Consultant, or Implementation role within a SaaS organisation.
11. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting or delivery role
12. A strong technical background and confidence in solving complex problems.
13. Demonstrated ability to produce results working independently and as a member of a team
14. Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication and relationship skills
15. Ability to communicate technical and business information to small groups.
16. Proficiency in SQL and Visual Studio.
Preferred Skills
17. Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, JE Edwards, Peoplesoft and other business ERP systems is a huge plus
18. Any experience of content management, document management, workflow, or knowledge management software would be helpful.
19. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
