Your new company Our client, a Tier 1 contractor operating in the water industry, is seeking a Construction Manager to join their team for the Severn Trent Region on a 3-month contract with a high probability of an extension. You will be working on management of a project within region (Non-Infrastructure Clean & Waste treatment). Your new role Manage construction and regional staff Assist with site audits suggesting improvements as appropriate Provide technical assistance to the Project Managers, Site managers, site supervisors and in-house designers as appropriate Aid with pre-qualification tender submissions & pre-acceptance issues Progress Reports / Safety Reports Assist in Procurement of SC packages (with QS) Attend meetings with Project Managers, Designers and Clients Maintain financial forecast of project with PM & QS Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, site teams and sub contractors via management meetings, team meetings tool box talks and day to day discussions Ensure maintenance of appropriate records to ensure recovery of asset values together with as-built records. What you'll need to succeed At least 5 years management / supervisory experience within the utilities / construction industry Ability and experience to manage both direct labour and sub contract operatives Ability to interface with both developers and adopting utility companies Awareness of adopting utility standards Ability to manage both departmental and project budgets Experience in dealing with and resolving contractual disputes Proven track record of delivery.
