Social Worker – Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team Merton Council Pay Rate: £30.50 PAYE (exclusive of holiday pay) £39.04 LTD (inclusive of holiday pay) Location: Merton Contract: Full-time (agency) About the Role Merton Council is seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children, young people, and their families. You will deliver high-quality social work services in line with the policies and objectives of the Children, Schools & Families department, ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of welfare remains at the heart of your practice. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of children and families within the CWD service Undertake comprehensive assessments of need and risk Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual needs Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver effective interventions Ensure appropriate resources are identified and utilised to safeguard children Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements Promote positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families/carers Requirements Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration Proven experience working with children and families, ideally within a CWD setting Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures Why Join Merton?
