We look after chalk river, reedbed, woodland and parkland, including establishment of a 130 acre parkland restoration project attached to a 13th century moated manor house. Working outdoors in all weathers, you’ll do this with a variety of hand tools and specialist machinery with the help of our dedicated group of volunteers, who you'll be supervising.To monitor the impact of our work, you’ll be undertaking regular wildlife surveys of a number of species assisted by a group of specialist volunteers, keeping good quality records so we can share data with other organisations. You’ll be engaging with visitors and neighbours with our work, helping the Lead Ranger and Countryside Manager build and maintain good relationships with our local community.You’ll be part of a wider team of operational staff keeping Oxburgh safe and open to the public. You'll be part of the duty management rota.
