Senior Buyer Indirect Spend UK
- based in Macclesfield, optional 2-3 days working from home -
The Indirect Buyer is part of the Group Procurement Team and in charge of supporting and deploying central purchasing strategies and managing all local indirect purchases in all UK entities (Gerflor, Gradus, Genisis, HarlequinFloors).
Your role
* Collect data of indirect spends of all UK entities, consolidate them, applying Gerflor group purchasing segmentation, in order to have a complete view on the spend to be managed.
* Identify areas of opportunity for negotiation, globalisation across UK. Propose a road-map in order to tackle the purchasing families with biggest spends or stakes.
* Support global purchasing team strategies and implement them in UK plants
* Manage the full purchasing process for indirect spend: need analysis, RFQ document preparation, RFQ management, offer analysis and negotiation, supplier selection, presentation of solution, contract, solution implementation, follow-up, supplier business review
* Follow-up on supplier financial situation and manage supplier risk
* Integrate CSR in all purchasing approaches
* Identify and evaluate potential suppliers – compliant with our Group purchasing strategy and requirements in order to develop a high performing supplier base for the product categories under your responsibility.
* Closely cooperate with internal clients to ensure that products and services meet the specific requirements.
* Execute the global purchasing strategy in terms of legal, ethical and regulatory compliance to protect the company’s interests.
* Ensure coherent documentation in the ERP system and reporting for the Group Management
* Play a proactive role by benchmarking with other companies and purchasers. Conduct market research to identify new potential suppliers, innovating products or services
