Insolvency Lawyer - Central London
Hybrid working 2 yrs PQE +
We are seeking a highly capable and commercially minded Restructuring & Insolvency Lawyer to join a dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, acting for insolvency practitioners, lenders, corporates, and directors on complex restructuring processes and formal insolvency appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
Advising insolvency practitioners, banks, lenders, corporates, and stakeholders on formal insolvency and restructuring procedures (administrations, CVAs, liquidations, receiverships)
Managing contentious insolvency claims, including director misfeasance, antecedent transactions, and fraud
Drafting and negotiating restructuring plans, security documents, and intercreditor agreements
Supporting distressed M&A and advisory work
Liaising with counsel, accountants, and financial advisors
Managing client relationships and contributing to business development
Candidate Requirements:
UK qualified solicitor with 2–7 years’ PQE in restructuring and/or insolvency law (contentious, non-contentious, or both)
Strong technical knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986 and related regulations
Proven ability to run cases with minimal supervision
Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Commercial awareness and interest in the wider economic climate
Experience working with insolvency practitioners and/or financial institutions is desirable
Motivated, collaborative, and comfortable in a client-facing role
