Overview
We are looking for a post‑doctoral researcher to work in the Translational Research Immunology Group (TRIG) on a translational, collaborative project funded by the EU. You will be placed in the Institute of Developmental and Regenerative Medicine on the Old Road Campus, working in close collaboration with the Oxford Kidney Pathology group.
Responsibilities
* Test T cell therapeutics developed by our consortium, using in‑vivo models of glomerular immune‑complex disease.
* Establish a novel model for IgA Nephropathy.
* Contribute to spatial transcriptomics and proteomics in human IgAN kidney samples.
* Collaborate closely with members of TRIG, the Oxford Kidney Pathology group, students, other post‑docs and research assistants, as well as international collaborators within the EU consortium.
Qualifications
* Hold a PhD (or be near completion: thesis submitted) in a relevant area at the time of application.
* Have experience in immunology or the kidney‑disease field.
* Experience with cell‑culture techniques, animal models and immunological techniques.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently within projects.
* Ability to communicate results clearly and succinctly in presentations, manuscripts and grant applications.
* Experience with flow cytometry and genetic‑editing techniques.
* Knowledge of kidney disease.
