Teaching Personnel is looking for confident, resilient and passionate Youth Workers to step into Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Teaching Assistant (TA) roles in SEMH schools in Leigh.
Many of our most successful LSA/TA candidates come from youth work, sports coaching, support work, and community outreach backgrounds. If you can build strong relationships, set clear boundaries, and support young people through challenges — we want to hear from you.

The Role:
* Supporting students aged 7–16 with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
* Working 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils manage behaviour and engage in learning
* Using your youth work experience to support emotional regulation, communication, and confidence
* Assisting teaching staff in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment
* Acting as a mentor and role model to students who may be at risk of exclusion

What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Youth Worker, Support Worker, Mentor, or in a similar role
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* A calm, consistent and empathetic approach
* The ability to build trust and motivate disengaged learners
* Team Teach or similar training (desirable but not essential — training can be provided)
