The Architect will play a key role within the design team, typically leading the day-to-day running of a primary project while supporting colleagues across others in development. Daily Duties
8. Lead the day-to-day running of architectural projects, reporting to Associates and Partners
9. Coordinate and manage design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
10. Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout all project stages
11. Manage project costs against fees and support partners in financial control
12. Oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with RIBA standards
13. Prepare and issue design documentation, reports, and presentations
14. Chair and record design team and site meetings as required
15. Administer contracts and assist with project programming and scheduling
16. Undertake measured building surveys and manage planning and building control submissions
17. Support and guide junior team members in design, detailing, and project administration
18. Maintain accurate records of site visits, communications, and project documentation
19. Use CAD and BIM software (Revit/AutoCAD), Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft 365 tools effectively
20. Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to broader office functions and initiatives
21. Engage in business development activities and represent the practice at industry events
Ideal Candidate
22. Fully qualified Architect with ARB registration (or equivalent international qualification)
23. Holds RIBA Part 1, 2, and 3 qualifications from an accredited institution (or equivalent with UK NARIC recognition)
24. Experienced in project running, team coordination, and client liaison
25. Strong design and technical skills with a thorough understanding of RIBA work stages
26. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365
27. Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational abilities
28. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
29. A proactive mentor with an interest in developing junior staff
