As a Housing Enabler, you'll work closely with customers living at our Mallow Court and Neachells Lane schemes in Wolverhampton, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. You'll help customers to manage their tenancies, understand their responsibilities and develop the confidence and skills they need to maintain their homes and wellbeing. Alongside your customer‑facing responsibilities, you'll also provide day‑to‑day management and oversight of the Night Concierge team, working with them to ensure the ongoing safety and wellbeing of customers and the effective running of the schemes out of hours. What success looks like in this role In this role, success means being a calm, consistent and trusted presence across both schemes. You build strong, professional relationships from the ground up, balancing empathy with clear boundaries and authority. You don't take behaviour personally and remain resilient, even when situations feel complex or emotionally demanding. You work confidently with customers who have severe and enduring mental health needs, using your understanding of mental health to support positive outcomes while maintaining safety, dignity and accountability. You're comfortable having honest, sometimes challenging conversations, and you're tenacious in seeing things through. You provide clear, supportive leadership to the Night Concierge colleagues, ensuring they feel confident, informed and supported in carrying out their role, and that appropriate responses are in place to manage risk, incidents and customer wellbeing overnight. You collaborate effectively with multi‑agency partners, bringing people together to solve problems and ensure customers receive joined‑up support. You manage your time well across two schemes, adapt to changing priorities, and bring steady leadership and sound judgement to everything you do. Above all, you're personable, flexible and committed to doing the right thing - helping customers feel supported, safe and empowered to move forward. You'll be someone who: Has experience supporting people with severe and enduring mental health needs Has experience of housing management within supported housing environments Brings management or supervisory experience, with confidence in leading and supporting colleagues Is resilient and able to maintain perspective, even in challenging situations Can build trusting relationships from scratch and work effectively across two schemes Understands and maintains clear professional boundaries Has a good grasp of mental health and how it can impact behaviour and engagement Is approachable, personable and tenacious, doing what it takes to achieve positive outcomes Has experience of multi‑agency partnership working, including health and social care professionals Is organised, flexible and comfortable managing a varied and demanding workload Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle Acts as a positive ambassador for Bromford Flagship LiveWest in the local community If you've worked as a Housing Officer, Housing Support Worker, Scheme Manager, Housing Enabler or similar, and you're motivated by helping people move forward at their own pace, we'd love to hear from you.
