What we’re looking for
* Full GMC Registration
* Completed general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognised centre
* Experience and skills in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology and willingness to develop these aspects further
* Ability to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
* Enthusiasm for teaching and training
* Understanding of and willingness to participate in clinical governance and audit activities
* Appropriate level of leadership, organisational, communication, professional and personal abilities to be effective in the role of consultant diagnostic neuroradiologist in a large teaching hospital
Main duties of the job
* Contribute to provision of a high quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service.
* Share in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on call on a rota basis (intended to be 1 in 7 with prospective cover)
* Develop specialist skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support regional tertiary services.
* Along with their consultant colleagues, provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees.
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and protocol optimisation to enhance patient pathways and departmental efficiency.
* Some duties may be provided by offsite working.
