The Role
Lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels as part of the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach weekdays, evenings and weekends is required. Your expertise can ignite a passion for learning.
What you'll be doing
Enjoy all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students while keeping up to date with latest developments and student support practices. Deliver core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit or similar subjects.
Responsibilities
* Planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
* Developing, updating, and improving course materials.
* Using a variety of teaching methods and materials.
* Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
* Working towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About you
* Master's degree in Accounting and Finance (UK or equivalent from a PSRB member); PhD desirable.
* Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Accurate reporting and meticulous record keeping.
* Ability to work under pressure, plan, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol during the probationary period.
* Fully qualified from PSRB members (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, IFA).
