Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced primary school teacher to lead a KS1 or KS2 class within a mainstream primary setting. The successful candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment, deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum, and work collaboratively with teaching assistants and staff to support pupils’ academic and social development.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students
* Manage classroom behaviour through positive reinforcement strategies and behaviour management techniques, in line with school policies
* Assess student progress regularly, providing feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes
* Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation from all
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour
* Assist with the preparation of information to support EHCP review meetings
Skills
* Strong communication skills
* Knowledge of the primary curriculum
* Previous experience of working in a special school is desirable
* Proficient in behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment
* Ability to educate diverse groups of children with a range of special needs
Requirements
* Enhanced valid DBS (we can support with this)
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching KS1 and/or KS2
* Strong classroom management skills
* Good knowledge of the primary curriculum
* Commitment to safeguarding and pupil development
* Safeguarding training(we can support with this)
