Position Overview: We are looking for careful forklift operators to move pallets and materials around our facility. The role involves operating forklifts with utmost care to ensure safety and efficiency, driving around warehouses, storage racks, and other locations with personnel present. The goal is to ensure materials and products are stored correctly (5-S) and available at the right place and time to maximize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them at assigned locations.
* Locate, transport, and load products on trailers for shipment. Communicate shortages before trucks depart.
* Meet load and unload times of 1 hour, including 45 minutes for loading/unloading and 15 minutes for paperwork.
* Identify damages and report shortages or quality issues immediately.
* Transport raw materials to production in a timely manner to prevent outages.
* Inspect forklift and machinery, perform regular maintenance, and report repairs needed.
* Maintain updated records of inventory and activity logs.
* Complete inbound and outbound paperwork and record transfers.
* Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
* Help maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Qualifications:
* Previous warehouse experience preferred.
* Knowledge of RF Scanner.
* Forklift certification required.
* Food Handler Certificate preferred.
* Basic math and recording skills.
* Computer literacy.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Ability to read and write in English.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
* Able to lift 50 to 100 lbs.
* Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays if needed.
* Wearing GMP-relevant PPE such as hair/beard nets, gloves, hearing protection is required.
* Ability to work in hot, cold, or humid environments.
