Sports Lecturer (with Optional Matchday Coaching)
💰 Salary: £24,000 – £30,000 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience)

BHPP Academy, in partnership with Hertford Town Football Club, is excited to recruit a Sports Lecturer to join our part-time further education programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and qualified sports educator to make a real impact on the next generation of players and professionals.
We are primarily looking for a teacher to deliver high-quality classroom learning, with the possibility of coaching one of our football teams on matchdays (Wednesdays) if desired. This flexibility makes the role ideal for educators with or without a coaching background.
You will deliver NCFE Level 3 Sport qualifications as part of a structured and supportive college programme aimed at preparing learners for progression into apprenticeships, employment, or higher education.
About the Role
* Part-time hours: Monday 8:45-3pm, Thursday 10-11:30, Friday 8.45-1pm
* Term time only
* Delivery of classroom-based NCFE Level 3 Sport qualifications
* Optional coaching of a BHPP Academy football team on Wednesdays (matchday)
* Support with GCSE Maths & English delivery where required
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working in a college, training provider, or sports education environment
* A degree-level qualification (essential)
* Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or willingness to work towards
* QTLS and/or PGCE (desirable)
* An interest in football coaching (desirable but not essential)
* A passion for developing young people and helping them reach their full potential
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
