General Manager – Independent Commercial Hotel

Full-Time | Salary up to £55,000 + Bonus
We are currently seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to join an established independent hotel following a significant recent investment programme. This General Manager position is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hotel professional looking to take ownership of a growing business. The successful General Manager will lead a well-positioned 100+ bedroom property into its next phase of growth and success. As General Manager, you will play a key role in driving commercial performance, operational standards and guest satisfaction across the entire hotel operation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the day-to-day operation of a 100+ bedroom independent hotel
2. Drive overall financial performance and profitability
3. Manage revenue, occupancy, ADR and overall hotel performance
4. Monitor and improve online presence, guest reviews and reputation management
5. Lead and develop the hotel team to ensure exceptional service standards
6. Analyse business performance and implement effective commercial strategies
7. Maintain high operational standards across all departments
Requirements
8. Previous experience as a Hotel General Manager or in a senior hotel leadership role within an independent property
9. Strong understanding of hotel revenue management and market trends
10. Experience managing online travel agents (OTAs), hotel websites and review platforms
11. Proven ability to drive financial performance and maintain operational standards
12. Commercially aware with strong leadership and organisational skills
13. Hands-on management style with the ability to lead from the front
