1. 15 hours per week
2. Required to work every weekend
3. Opportunity to pick up additional weekday shifts
4. Must be fully flexible between 7:00am – 10:00pm
Role Overview
We are currently recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join a busy healthcare environment in Newry. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
5. Cleaning and sanitising wards, corridors, and clinical areas
6. Maintaining high standards of infection control and hygiene
7. Safe handling and disposal of waste, including clinical waste
8. Cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
9. Operating cleaning equipment and using appropriate cleaning materials
10. Ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy, and hazard-free
11. Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and hygiene products
12. Following all hospital health and safety procedures
Essential Requirements
13. Must be able to comply with uniform policy at all times
14. Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
16. Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
17. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

18. Previous experience in a domestic, cleaning, or healthcare setting
19. Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures
