Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with various learning difficulties, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
* Help students develop essential skills, including social interactions, communication, and self-regulation.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents, ensuring continuity of support.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in special educational needs.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school or educational setting.
* A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport with students and families.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable.
* A DBS check is required.
