We have an exciting opportunity to lead the growing staff team of the Housing and Loan Fund in the role of Secretary to the Fund. You will provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to the Trustees of the Housing and Loan Fund including regular liaison with, and support for, the Chair. You will make all arrangements for meetings of the Trustees including the preparation of the agenda, financial statements and minutes and will advise the Trustees on matters of policy. You will be responsible for arrangements for renting, purchasing and selling property and making housing loans according to the Fund's policies and instructions. A key element of this role is the liaison with ministers and their widows, widowers and bereaved civil partners who have retired or who are planning their retirement, providing advice and support and helping them secure the most suitable and affordable arrangements for housing. You will monitor the Fund’s accounts including income, expenditure and investments, ensuring that the Fund’s resources are deployed according to the principles of good stewardship and in accordance with the Fund’s constitution. The successful candidate will have proven experience in financial management with the ability to provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to the Fund. Residential Property experience would be helpful and it is essential that the post holder has highly developed interpersonal skills.
