🔧⚡ Contract Mechanical & Electrical Technicians – Coventry ⚡🔧
We’re supporting a major defence manufacturing programme in Coventry and are looking to engage experienced Mechanical Fitters and Electrical Technicians on a contract basis, with multiple positions available and a strong likelihood of extension.
These roles involve hands-on work within a low-volume, high-specification vehicle build environment, supporting critical programmes with real purpose.
Key details
* Location: Coventry
* Contract length: 3 months initially, with extensions expected
* Rate: £19 per hour
* Start: Immediate (subject to DBS clearance)
Responsibilities
* Mechanical assembly and fitting to engineering drawings
* Installation, routing, and testing of electrical systems and looms
* Working to defined quality, safety, and production standards
* Supporting prototype and production vehicle builds
* Collaborating closely with production and engineering teams

What we’re looking for
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Technician
* Background in automotive, defence, military vehicles, or complex assemblies
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings and schematics
* Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Military or ex-forces experience is highly desirable
