As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
1. Support learners in the classroom, helping them engage with learning activities and reach their targets.
2. Encourage student inclusion within peer groups and foster a positive learning environment.
3. Work closely with subject tutors to prepare learning materials, tasks and record learner progress.
4. Reinforce tutor instructions and provide constructive feedback to learners.
5. Attend relevant meetings with tutors and support teams.
6. Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the role and organisational policies.
To be successful in the LSA role, you will need:
7. Experience supporting learners in an educational or similar setting
8. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage challenging behaviour
9. An empathetic approach and understanding of the challenges faced by learners
10. Good communication and IT skills
11. A current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
12. Ability to travel as required
13. EWC registration, an Enhanced DBS, and proof of right to work in the UK are required
This is a part time role, working 19.5 hours per week (3 days, days to be confirmed) for a temporary period up to February 2026, with a potential to be extended until the end of the academic year. You'll be based in an educational setting based in Rhyl, starting on an hourly pay rate of £12.66 per hour, plus weekly pay, holiday accrual and other benefits.
Please note, this role is subject to an enhanced DBS certificate being completed.
