PURPOSE OF ROLE The FAW has three National Training Centres: its Elite Centre and HQ at the Vale Resort; and two National Development Centres at Dragon Park in Newport and Colliers Park in Wrexham. This role will be primarily based at the Elite training centre in Hensol and will have responsibilities as part of the facilities team, for the smooth running of from a day-to-day perspective. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY Assisting with the day to day operational functionality of the office and facility including monitoring condition and upkeep of the building. Organising for contractors to attend site as required for maintenance checks and upkeep of site and equipment. Prepare for all FAW squad camps and provide support for these squads when they are at Hensol to include pitch-side presence as required. Oversee health and safety requirements for the building to include: First aid provision for the site Fire warden for the site and responsible for regular training and drills. Emergency lightening testing Fire monitoring checks Monitoring risk assessments and updating as required with support from external consultants. Legionella – Water Flushing Fault reporting PAT Testing Gym Maintenance checks Key holder for the building, provide support from a security perspective as required including overseeing the access control system. Opening and closing of the building as required Maintaining high levels of cleanliness across the site Monitoring stock levels for the site and ordering where required, to include kitchen supplies and stationery. Day to day point of contact for staff based at Hensol Organise conference and meeting room bookings Provide excellent front of house service Building strong relationships with staff and stakeholders using the National Training Centre Administration support for the Facility Manager and Head of National Facilities as required Support reception team as needed and cover reception during absences. Support the training and organisation of casual staff where required. PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications and Experience Proven experience working in sport or leisure facility Basic facilities or H&S management experience First Aid and Fire Warden trained (desirable) Hands on cleaning or maintenance experience (desirable) Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Exceptional customer service skills A ‘can do’ attitude and ability to work independently. Ability to multi-task and good organisational skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Enhanced DBS Disclosure required.
