Administrative Assistant
Llanelli Rural Council is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join its team.
The council is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, self-motivated person with:

* An excellent working knowledge of ICT systems
The successful candidate will be used to working as part of a team with proven administration experience to provide administrative support to the Administrative Department under the direction of the Finance and Administrative Officer.
The post holder must be self-motivated and be able to use their own initiative and appropriately respond to enquiries from a wide range of stakeholders.
The role is based at the council's administrative offices at Vauxhall, Llanelli.
Job title: Administrative Assistant
Contract type: Part time/Job share, 15 hours per week – permanent contract.
Hours of work: 8.45am pm to 5.00pm, Monday and Tuesday.
The post holder may be required to work additional days on occasion to cover for holidays or sickness absence.
Starting salary: £26,403 pro rata
Grade 4 in accordance with SCP 7-11 of the NJC Salary Scales. £26,403 - £28,142 pro rata
Reports to: Finance and Administrative Officer
Summary of main duties (this Summary is not an exhaustive list but contains the main duties and tasks of the job)
To provide the full range of support for the council's administration services, such as word processing, filing, photocopying, processing incoming and outgoing mail and acting as telephonist/receptionist.
Administration of the council's website and Intranet by monitoring and updating content as required.
To support the Community Development Officer with community events.
Deputise for the role of Chairman's Secretary by liaising with the Chairman and Vice-Chairman (Civic Party), responding to invitations received and organising and attending civic events.
Logging requests for information and enquiries from the public and referring as appropriate.
Administration of the council's booking platforms for community buildings, sports and leisure facilities.
