Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a varied and rewarding set of duties, ensuring a cohesive and inspiring science experience across the school: Curriculum Leadership: Lead and deliver AQA GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) with the focus and rigour required for academic success. Waldorf Main Lessons: Design and deliver Upper School Science Main Lesson Blocks (Classes 9–11), utilising the phenomenological approach to bring concepts to life through observation and creative inquiry. Laboratory Management: Oversee the safe and efficient running of the Science Laboratory, including resource management, budget control, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Whole-School Oversight: Provide oversight and mentorship for science teaching across the Lower School, ensuring a smooth, developmentally appropriate progression of scientific concepts. Mentoring: Work closely with colleagues to integrate scientific concepts with art, handwork, and other subjects. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who: Holds QTS and has demonstrable experience teaching Science up to GCSE level. Has a genuine interest in, or experience with, Rudolf Steiner's educational philosophy. Can transition seamlessly between the demands of external examinations and the imaginative, artistic work of the Main Lesson curriculum. Is committed to maintaining a high standard of health and safety within the laboratory environment.
