Job Overview
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, qualified HCPC/NMC registered Anaesthetic ODP or RN (with an anaesthetic qualification) to join our theatre teams in BCUHB 'Central', covering Glan Clwyd, Abergele and Llandudno (Ortho) theatres. The role covers a wide range of specialties including Maxillo Facial, Urology, Colorectal, Vascular, Gynaecology, Breast, ENT, Trauma, Orthopaedics, Emergency and Obstetrics. Additional areas include Ophthalmic theatres, pain clinic, community dentals, ECT, MRI, CT, Gastro and cardio.
Our skilled Anaesthetic team covers a wide range of specialities and is part of the hospital cardiac arrest and trauma teams, responding to emergency bleeps while working closely with the ITU and supporting internal and external patient transfers. All practitioners are encouraged to participate in training and development of students and enable their own personal development.
Main Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence‑based patient care.
* Provide skilled assistance in anaesthetic, surgical and the post‑operative care of patients throughout the peri‑operative period.
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and assist in the management and organisation of clinical satellite areas, implementing improvements identified by audit or clinical trials.
* Participate in the education and development of other staff members.
* Respond to emergency bleeps as part of the cardiac arrest/trauma team, supporting ITU and external transfers.
* Encourage participation in training and personal development for students and self.
Welsh language skills are desirable, English is required.

Qualifications & Experience
* HCPC / NMC Registration.
* Previous experience in theatres covering a wide variety of surgical specialities.
* Diploma (or BSc (Hons)) in Operating Department Practice (UK).
