If you are looking for an exciting opportunity where you can earn money as well as gaining experience and a recognised qualification, then look no further A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic apprentice to join East Suffolk Council as an Administration Apprentice in our Private Sector Housing Team. Your role The role consists of working as part of a small, friendly team working to support and help members of the public with housing problems. Your role will predominantly involve general administration, handling telephone and email enquiries and processing client information on an in-house database. As the role progresses, you will be trained in how to make decisions around eligibility of clients to receive housing related services, and signposting to other services that can support the customer. There will also be opportunities to support and shadow staff onsite inspections and support particular projects such as Empty Homes initiatives, Warm Homes Healthy People support, Grants for repairs, improvements and disabled adaptations and Fire Safety initiatives. What you will need You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and IT skills and a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 -9 (or equivalent). No previous administrative experience is required, as full training will be provided.
